Something new is coming to the farm and we’ve got preparations to do.
This is our second season raising pastured chickens.
Our first batch of pigs is graduating from hot-fence training to pasture.
Managing grazing through the worst drought in over 30 years.
We brought new cattle to the farm—what a mess!
It’s time to harvest another batch of chickens and bring our final batch of chicks out to pasture.
The cattle are fat and happy at the end of this summer and we have native grasses starting to grow on our farm.
We have a ton of grass and it looks like we will be grazing on it for the rest of the year. Hopefully not feeding hay until January.
Spring is a busy time here and it’s coming fast. Chickens are on the way and turkey and pork won’t be far behind.
