Grass-Fed Lamb
At Drumhiller Farms our lambs are grass-fed from start to finish and are moved to fresh pasture regularly. They never receive steroids, hormones or antibiotics. By raising lambs naturally, humanely and regeneratively we are producing flavorful, nutrient-packed lamb for families while building healthier soils and pastures for generations to come.

Better for Them
Raising lambs in harmony with their design means moving them to fresh pasture daily. This results in endless grazing opportunities and plenty of room to exercise and socialize. Since they are not confined and are consuming a diet that is natural to them, they have no need of antibiotics, steroids or hormones. Daily movement drastically reduces the risk of parasite infection in the flock.
Better for You
Grass-fed and finished lamb has higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). It also has higher levels of vitamins and minerals including beta carotene, B vitamins and E vitamins, as well as higher levels of antioxidants. Because the lamb is raised naturally the animals do not need antibiotics, hormones or steroids.
Better for Nature
While our cattle tend to be pickier eaters, our lambs have no problem eating the weeds and other forbs the cattle pass on. Just like the cattle though, our lambs provide an even deposit of manure to the pasture as they are moved. This natural fertilizer breaks down and adds nutrients to the soil thereby feeding the pasture and increasing the health of the soil. Because the lambs don’t return to the same pasture for a few months, the grasses and forbs have time to rest and recover. This results in pastures that our fertile, resilient and healthy.
